Privacy Policy

What we collect
Manager accounts: email and password. Employee records (entered by managers): name, phone number, rank, and pay information if provided. Scheduling data: availability, shifts, time-off and coverage requests. We don't collect payment card details directly — those are handled by our payment processor.
How we use it
To provide the Service: showing schedules, matching availability, sending you to the right dashboard, and processing billing. We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Service providers that help us run Sway — our database host, our payment processor for billing, and our hosting provider. These providers only receive what they need to do their job. We don't share your data with anyone else except as required by law.
Data retention
We keep account and scheduling data for as long as your account is active. If you delete an employee, business, or your account, associated data is removed from active use; some records may persist briefly in backups before being purged.
Your choices
Managers can edit or delete employee records and businesses at any time from the dashboard. Employees can ask their manager to update or remove their information. Contact us if you need help with a data request.
Security
We use industry-standard practices — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls — but no system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection of your data.
Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults. It's not directed at children, though we recognize some hourly employees may be minors employed by our business customers in accordance with applicable labor law — customers are responsible for complying with those laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
